behind the frame
Hi, I’m Pat
My path to opening Frame VI wasn’t exactly direct. I spent most of my career trading energy—a profession that first brought me to St. Thomas in 2011. In my youth, my family started a framing business in a basement. They didn’t set out to build a massive company; they simply focused on the work. Word spread about the quality, and the business flourished for decades—eventually scaling to frame entire hospitals across the U.S.
Frame VI was born out of a desire for that same high standard. My partner Karen and I enjoy collecting art, but I found myself frustrated by a local experience that didn’t match the craftsmanship or devotion to personal service I expected. When a friend asked where she could get a hundred pieces framed for a corporate event and the answer was ‘you can’t,’ I decided to build the solution myself.
Our team is anchored by our resident rescue and morale-booster, Stevie Ray. His spirited presence, along with timely dinner reminders, keeps us mindful that others need love and help too. We invite you to join us in supporting those who tirelessly devote their energy and resources to grassroots missions that make the Virgin Islands a better home. Please consider helping groups such as Nana Baby Home, The Humane Society of St. Thomas, Pets With Wings, My Brother’s Workshop, Virgin Islands Conservation Society (VICS), and the Family Resource Center.
